The aim of this project is to draw attention to things we don’t normally see in our day to day lives, even though we are exposed to them continuously. See With New Eyes is designed in a way to make viewers think twice when they look at simple things like water, greenery, animals and people. You could be familiar with an image the way it is that you may look, but you don’t actually see. Two general themes I followed were finding beauty in the midst of ugly places and the idea of adaptation and/or struggling for survival. I intentionally chose to start with “Reflection” and end with “Acceptance” to awaken something in the viewer’s eyes.
