Identity
I decided to photograph kids in an orphanage, specifically their faces to show that they have an identity and should be viewed as anyone in the society. In our society kids who lost their parents are always stereotyped as unwanted humans who are different from every other kid who has a family. I took portraits of them adding their names and ages to show that they have identities just as any other kid in the society. While doing the project and after sitting with the kids for hours, I discovered these kids enjoy their lives than most other kids with families. Those kids live like a family; they don’t feel they need anything more.
