It’s in this unknown place, with these unrecognized people, that I get most inspired. I’ve travelled and I’ve seen a lot, but it is only there that I was able to understand what Mahatma Gandhi once said: “the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”. Its there that I understood what is really worth and what is not. At the end of my life, I don’t want people to judge me by my diplomas and the money I was able to make. At the end of my life I want to be judged by what I have done for others, for my community and for the world. To make a difference in the world , is the highest achievement and this difference starts with small changes. What I try to do in Masr El Adima is to bring light changes to the people living there allowing them to dream, hope and live. To me, a smile is worth a lot. Living days or just moments with kids that are capable of unintentionally teaching you a lot about life was worth capturing. For that, I take the courtesy of documenting some of the amazing faces ill never forget.
